New Year, New Cycle: Setting Intentions with Your Inner Spring

Happy New Year! Is your feed flooded with messages to "new year, new you"? It’s a time of big dreams and fresh planners, but if you’re like most women, that pressure can feel overwhelming by mid-January. What if this year, you tried a different approach? One that doesn’t fight your body, but flows with it?
Forget forcing productivity. The secret to sustainable change lies in harmonizing with the innate wisdom of your menstrual cycle. Let’s explore how you can harness the vibrant energy of your Inner Spring to set intentions that actually stick.
What is Your "Inner Spring"?
In the world of cycle syncing, your Inner Spring (known clinically as the Follicular Phase) begins after your period ends and leads up to ovulation. As estrogen levels rise, so does your energy, curiosity, and desire for newness. The world feels fresh and full of potential—sound familiar? It’s the perfect mirror to the energy of the calendar's New Year!
This is your body’s natural brainstorming session. It’s not yet time for heavy lifting or intense execution; it’s the time for inspired planning and playful exploration.
How to Set "Inner Spring" Intentions:
Here’s how to channel this potent energy to set your year up for success:
1. Embrace "What If?" Thinking: Your brain is primed for blue-sky ideas. Grab a journal and ask yourself: What would bring me joy this year? What new skill am I curious about? Don’t edit or criticize—just dream.
2. Focus on Planting Seeds, Not Harvesting Crops: In Spring, you don’t expect a full-grown plant. Your goals should be the same. Instead of "lose 20 pounds," your Spring intention could be "explore fun ways to move my body." Instead of "write a book," try "brainstorm book topics and play with outlines."
3. Let Your Body Lead: This phase is all about the B (Body & Breath) and H (Heart & Harmony) of our B-H-R framework. Go for a brisk walk in nature to clear your mind (B), and connect with friends who inspire your new ideas (H).
A Glimpse from "Womb Warriors Unite":
In my book, we dive deep into the four seasons of your cycle, providing a complete map for this exact process. You’ll learn not only how to plan in your Spring but also when to execute in your Summer, when to refine in your Autumn, and when to rest and receive wisdom in your Winter. It’s the antidote to hormonal burnout and the key to unlocking a life that feels good all month long.
Ready to throw out the rigid, one-size-fits-all planning and finally create a life that moves with you?

Grab yourself a journal you genuinely love—something pretty that you actually want to open. When it feels special, you’re more likely to use it, and it becomes this safe little space to untangle thoughts, brainstorm ideas, or write out the emotions you don’t want to voice out loud. It’s honestly one of the simplest ways to stay steady and centred.
