Five Everyday Activities to Protect Your Physical Health

Updated: Dec 20, 2021

As we move into the Christmas holiday season we often stop moving around so much.

As we go through the motions of often sedentary activities during the holiday season, it can be easy to forget that our bodies need tending too. With just a little conscious thought, you can increase your physical well being today.

Incorporate these easy activities into your daily routines to help keep your body healthy:

Stand up and Stretch 🙆🏼‍♀️📺

Sitting for long periods can really take its toll, especially on your back. To ensure that you stay healthy and flexible avoid slouching in the chair or couch. Get up. Move around. Watch TV sitting cross legged on the floor if you can.

Lift with your Legs❗📦

Bend at the knees, not at the waist to take the pressure off your back muscles to prevent unnecessary damage. To encourage your spine to ease try out some simple yoga techniques. Link to our YouTube channel is on our website at www.whitebranches.co.uk

Eat Frequently 🍽🍎

Sometimes you may get caught up with other activities, and forget to eat. Eating mindfully every 3-4 hours helps keep your digestive system healthy. Plan meals and try not to snack or get caught up in eating too much sugar!

Get Plenty of Rest 💤😴

To function, a good night's sleep will help you be at your best. Rest periods give your systems a chance to regenerate and become ready for the next day's physical challenges. If you struggle to sleep, take a meditation during the afternoon (between 2pm and 4pm) to give you a boost.

Go for a Walk 🧤 🧦

Getting outside in the fresh air no matter the weather will create flexibility and clear your head. If, like me, you live in colder climates during December, pop warm clothing on; hat, gloves, thick socks with waterproof shoes and coat and off you go!

To ensure your lifelong health, start by focusing on a few simple actions like these every day.

Now that you know how easy it is to enhance your health, you can start your journey to wellness right now 🚀
